I'm setting up a new system with
Avaya Partner Messaging
Avaya Partner ACS 8.0 Processor

The messaging is not configured. I only assign voice mail ports to hunt group 7. I didn't restart the system. Should I?

The PBX is configured as key mode. With 5 line (#104)
When I rec'd a phone call, all my five lines, light up "red" for a brief second. T0en the caller get's a message "your call is being transfer". Then it start ringing. Everything seems to be normal at this point. How do I get rid of this message.

All my phones are Partner 18D. I can access line 1 to line 3. When I press the button I get Dial ton. When I press line 4 or 5 nothing happen. I'm new to Avaya phone system and I'm assuming line 4 is the last button on the right beside line 3. And line 5 is the button on top of line 1. Can someone confirm.

I appreciate any info

Roel

The system isn't programmed correctly, so you get that reaction on an incoming call. Specifically, the correct voice mail extensions haven't been assigned in #505, group 7. Restarting the system will not correct the problem.

What extensions did you assign?
Are the two units you mentioned the only modules in the system?
If not, what other modules do you have, and where do they sit in the carrier?

This information determines which exts need to be assigned.

I did a #505 to hunt group 7. (not sure if I have group because I'm set for key mode)

I can't remember if I assign all the lines (5) or all the extensions (7). But what ever it's ask me to do, I either assign all line or all extension (not both)

For #505 it would be the extension ports of your Voicemail. not the lines and not all the extensions. Just the 2 or 4 ports of your vmail.

You might want to read the documentation from the CD that came with the system. If you don't have it, you can download it for free from support.avaya.com. It will provide you with most of the information you need.

How many ports does the Partner Messaging have? Those are the only station numbers that go in Hunt Group 7.
