Creative has just come out with a plug in sound card for portable computers. This would be nice to use for field recording. Can the PC have two sound cards, or must you disable the onboard sound to use the plug in?

I'm almost certain that running 2 sets of drivers for sound would cause lots of problems, unless you disabled one driver setup in one configuration and enabled it in another. Win xp must let you do that like win 98se did.

Pretty sure you must disable onboard sound first.

Good advice + great people = tek-tips
