My domain is native Server 2003 (12 servers, 4 DCs). I am considering adding another DC (in one of my off site locations) and I would like it to be a Windows Server 2008 64 bit.
Is there anything that I should be aware of before ordering this server? Are there any issues to be expected when implementing this server in my existing 2003 domain?

Thank you all.

Technically, you will run adprep /forestprep on schema master to update the schema and run DCPROMO on Server 2008. As long as you back up your DCs, it should be safe.
