I apologize if this has been asked before. I'm new to indesign but used to use pagemaker "back in the day..."

I am assembling a collection of articles. On the left hand page header I want to keep the name of the collection, but on the right page header I want to have the name of the article. How do I go about changing the RPage header? I currently am importing all the articles into one book, rather than making separate InDesign files for each article.

Thanks,

Dan

You can make a master with what you need. Then, in pages window, select all teh right pages and apply the appropriate master via the flyout menu in the pages window.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

If only the right hand (article) header needs to change, use the "Section Marker" (Type > Insert Special Character > Section Marker) on your right hand master. Then, in the Pages palette menu, undering Numbering & Section Options, make the first (right) page of each article page a new section and name it appropriately.

Thanks everyone, these are great hints. For future reference for people, I found it is much easier to combine individual articles in a book later, unlike my original supposition. Then, when I combine articles in the book, the header I use for each article remains in the main article.

Cheers, Dan
