Hi !

I use the Developper's version and i want to use a new Crystal Reports repository which will be secured and free.

I try this with MySQL but, when i launch Crystal Reports, the new repository ask me the user and his password.
Ok but there's no password !!

For information :
1°) I exported the Access repository (Repository_fr.mdb) to MySQL with a tool.
2°) I can access to this MySQL repository (host : M83 -a another PC- ; user : root ; no password) through MyODBC.
3°) The report's database type used is MySQL through MyODBC and it work perfectly !
4°) I tested an empty Access repository : it's ok. Same test with an empty MySQL repository : the connection don't work !

What can i do ?

Thanks.
Lionel

Hi Lionel,
Did you modify the orMap.ini file to set the database path? It's installed by default at \Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\bin.
Jacque

Hi Jacque and thanks for your response !
I forgot to notify this detail : yes, i modified the orMap.ini

Did you point your report to the new repository? You need to reset the datasource for the reports.
Jacque

I can't point my report and new reports to the new repository because CR9 ask me the repository password BEFORE the database connection !!

The new repository take effect when you restart CR9. No need to reset the datasource.
