New Project need help with logic thoughts

Hey all.

Have sum ideas for a new project and was wondering if you all would help me.

I am doing a site for a charity event for a local event. They get sponsors to help the event to go. I am doing the website for nothing and they asked me for something i am not sure how to really do cleanly. so here is the thought.

I would like to offer higher donations more ad space on the home page.

tier 1 1:1
tier 2 2:1
tier 3 3:1

any ideas on where to start?

i think you need to give us more data on the user experience than what you have posted.

i.e.

if everyone pays the same, how many adverts does one see on the front page?
if the answer is 3 (or a multiple of 3), would you still expect three to be shown if one of the ads was tier 2? except that it would be twice as big? same for tier 1 (but thrice)?

how do you determine what advert is shown on the front page? is it just a randomised selection each page click?

It would be random, with logic.

Tier 1 would get 1 ad
Tier 2 would get 2 for every 1 tier 1
Tier 3 would get 3 for every 1 tier 1
