new problem please help

when i try to open it, it says "Adobe Illustrator cannot run." then if i try to reinstall the main program it says

File Group: msvcrt
File: <svMSVCRT>Error: The file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

any ideas?

Try:
Control panel>date and time.
Set date to 2001. Relaunch Illustrator.

Mine does the same thing. is there no better way than to simply move the computer clock backwards? Thats kinda a pain, there must be another way.
