Verizon recently switched our system to PRI lines. Now we discover that the phone accounting system will not work. Their tech support says I will have to add new trunk info into the accounting software (ISI- OS PLUS). However, it wants info like:

Start Stop Access Codes
Rou/Mem to Rou/Mem 5106
6 1 6 24

Any of this make any sense, and how do I look at the trunk information? Thanks.

Ask the Phone System vendor for the "Trunk Route number" and "Route Access Code"

If, for example, they tell you they used Route 7 and the Access Code is 5107, then your info will look like this:

Start Stop Access Codes
Rou/Mem to Rou/Mem 5107
7 1 7 24

Is there any way to look this up on the switch itself, or do I have to go through Verizon? Sometimes they are slow to respond. Thanks.

Yes. what I would do is go to LD60

ld 60
.stat

Then you will see all the PRI's programmed. The "Loop" will show, plus 24 "Channels". We will want to print Channel 1

Now go to LD20

LD 20
REQ PRT
TYPE TNB
TN <loop> 1 (like 2 1 for example - that would be loop 2)

In that you will find RTMB

The first field of the RTMB is the "Rou"

Now go to LD21

LD 21
REQ PRT
TYPE RDB
ROUT (enter the "Rou")

Now look for the prompt ACCD. That number will replace 5106 in your first post.

Did whoever program the RDB for the PRI turn on CDR? The Accounting software will only report on what it receives from the PBX. If it is turned on in the RDB then that infrmation should get to your accounting system.

then connect a lap top to the cdr post to see if the system is sending cdr data for the new routes.. if so, that is the only format your going to get.. not a software load to append that data

I printed out the routes and all, but the call accounting software does not seem to be doing much of anything after I changed it. How do I connect a laptop to check the cdr data? Right now the switch connects to the PC with what looks like a standard com port.

It works now! Combination of problems, I needed to look up the trunk info, put it into the call accounting software and turn on CDR functions in the switch (which Verizon never did). You guys are the best, you have saved me many times. Thanks.
