I remember being approached by a sales person some time ago about a POS that can be installed over Aloha using the same hardware. Does anyone have any more info on this?

Are you talking about using the POS hardware where Aloha is currently installed?
As long the hardware meets the requirement of that POS software that you'd want, it will work there.
But bear in mind that if these hardware are Udoc Radiant Terminals, its drive/storage capacity is small. Mind placing a hard drive on it, install an operating system and it will work fine.

The Radiant 1510's are limited to 512 memory other than that most other terminals can be retrofitted wih a hard drive and there are drivers for XP available at the Radiant website.

Cheers,
Coorsman
