Hello all, the company I work for is purchasing a new office so I need to deploy a PIX 501 to the location. I have four other PIX 501s at other locations but I didn't configure them, an outside person did prior to my employment.

Here's where I'm at:

I've plugged into a LAN port and stepped through a majority of the setup wizard. I'm thinking it would be easiest to copy a config from an operational PIX and add it to the new one but I'm not sure how to console in to a new PIX or if I can use the GUI to do it. If I could copy a current config into the PIX I could just make a few IP adjustments for that location.

Any help is appreciated...thank you.

You can use telnet and the copy and paste. Or use TFTP to backup and restore the configuration. This how to may help,

I'll look at these instructions.

Does anyone see any issues with just copying a config from an operational PIX?
