new PC's added into collections they shouldn't be in

Over the last few months people have noticed that programs have been advertised which have not been requested within the SMS configuration.

I have also noticed that new PC's added to the sms site with new ID's are being automatically added to collections and are receiving packages that they should not.

These packages are distributed by direct membership rules and not by query based rules.

I think this may be caused by corruption of the database.

Does anyone know how I might further investigate or resolve this issue?

Have these clients ever reported to a different site server?

I had a similar problem becuase the site was an upgrade and was installing an older version of the client software.
