Does anyone know where you can find study material or practice questions on the new MCDST certification? I just found out about this cert when looking on MS's web site. The tests aren't available until the 12th. They seem like they'd be pretty easy for anyone who works in an XP environment, but my company will be paying for me to take these exams so I want to be sure I'll pass.

Correction, the first exam isn't available until the 12th. The second exam won't be available until some time in February.

the way I see this cert MS is just give people another option to break into IT If you have your MCP and working towards MCSE then why go backwards?

Well, I'm going to go for a MCDST. Has anyone taken either exam yet and if so, how was it?

I have taken 8 microsoft tests and the two for MCDST are by far the easiest. Very simple. If you have experience, they can be passed without cracking a book.

Yeah, I should have given an update sooner... I took both tests on the same day and did pretty well. Most of my success was because of experience but just to be sure I knew what I was getting into I bought the MeasureUp practice tests as well.

MCDST is Microsoft Certified Desktop support technician. 2 test covering support, email, microsoft office on windows xp.
