New mail envelope in taskbar

Hi all,

When i receive a new mail i no longer get an envelope in the taskbar...

I've look throught the email option but can find how to turn it on again...

Hope someone can help

Which version of Outlook? In XP the setting is in Tools menu, Options, Preferences, Email Options, Advanced Email Options then put a tick against Show an envelope icon in the system tray

Hi MoiraT,

I'm running Outlook 2000 SP3..

I check the fix for XP but i don't have any options for display envelope in icon tray..

I'm having the same issue, win server 2003 and office suite 2003, wonder why this is.......I got it to appear once when i had 'Show New Mail Desktop Alert' checked. (right hand click outlook icon in notification area and selecting the option, but other than that, no joy (
