New Mail appear as READ in Outlook

Hi all,


I have this strange problem where all new email coming into my Inbox show up as read

The strange thing is that for example 8 new messages will be listed as NEW on my inbox,

When i enter the inbox 4 or so emails appear as read when I have not read the mail.

Anyone had this problem before or have any ideas on what could be causing this

Do you have any Rules set on the incoming mail? (Check Tools->Rules Wizard)

All settings are standard..... Just running of an exchange server

What version of Exchange? Does anyone else have access to your mailbox? Check to see if anyone with root access has been accessing your mailbox.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

do you have the preview pane on? that may be what is causing them to be marked read.
