New line will not go to voicemail? 1

HI All

I have a Hipath 4000v3 system that I've taken responsibility of. Needless to say, I'm very new to managing phone systems. I've created a new handset line using a template and created a new voicemail box in our Xpressions system. The problem is that the extension just keeps ringing and will not forward to the voicemail box. Please advise.

Find the extension number of a phone that does go to voicemail (example extension 1234)
Log on to Comwin
REG-ZIEL:FWD,1234;
REG-ACTDA:STN,1234;

Copy the relevant lines from extension 1234 to your extension
you will then have forwarded the new extension to your voicemail on no reply, busy, dnd or whatever way the 1234 is setup.
 
Is Comwin a terminal emulator? I'm not seeing anything like that on my phone management server. I have the the HiPath 4000 Assistant web interface and the Xpression Voicemail web management portal. However I do see a HiPath4000 Expert Access application which appears to be a terminal emulator.

You can use the Assistant as well to forward a phone to voicemail.
Configuration Management / Station / Station Call Forwarding

Examine a working phone that is forwarding
Copy the values to the phone you wish to forward
 
I followed your steps and was able to copy the Call Forwarding steps from a working extension. My issue is now resolved, I'm able to hit voicemail on the new extension. Thank you very much!
