Anyone know anything about the new phones mentioned in the R4.2 documentation?

Approx retail cost and when they might be out?

I'm looking for some lower cost phones for a deployment and the cheapest I can get from our supplier seems to be the 5410 which are in the $150 rang. The 5420 is about $200.

So doesn't avaya have any digital and/or IP phones that are sub-$100??

My supplier said the 1603,1608,1616 phones will or are out however I don't think those will work with IP Office. Is that correct?

They are not going to be putting these out on the market. they have decided to use the 16xx phones in the next maint release of 4.2. There will be no license needed.

Word from our Dist is November 10 on the 4.2 16xx support; hoping that's accurate.

Thanks for the info. Confused me cause the IP Office 4.2 (Current release) guide/documentation says they are 17xx. But I guess they changed them to 16xx.

I got an email into my supplier to get pricing. Anyone know what retail will be on these things? Thanks

Avaya changed it because you can use them on a communication manager when you need to upgrade to it
Pricing is different in every part of the world so you have to wait for your supplier for that

Sounds good...my supplier said around $200-$400 retail which seems a little high. He should have a price this week thou.

I was hoping this would be a good low-cost alternative for IP phones..
