New Installation = IP Phone 2004 shows Unequipped

I'm in the process of installing a CS1000S. I have finally been able to get all the components working insync. I'm more familiar with BCM's and not the CS1000 product line. Anywys, I am trying to get phones to register on the system. Whem the phone boots up, it prompts for a Node and TN
I enter Node =1 since I only have one Node and that is its Id.
For the TN I entered 61-00.
After the phone does its firmware upgrade, message on the phone says
Invalid TN:61-00
Reason:Unequipped.

What have I forgotten to do? or what is missing from my equation.

Node 1 is correct. Its the TN's that its complaining about. How do I enable them?

How do I build out a set. I only have 8 phones to configure, so whats the easiet way? All IP 2004.

Unfortunately I can only get you started as we aren't set up for IP phones...

Look at LD 20 in the admin manuals and it will keep you goin. If you run into any roadblocks, post them in this forum and someone will keep you goin.

You need to build the phones first. If it doesn't exist on a TN you'll get invalid TN. Go to ld 11 and build the i2004's.

Element Manager doesn't allow you to build phones, except from the virtual terminal.

I get the phones to register, but thats about it. No idea on how to create DNs.I think it involves creating a customer record...or what not.

If anyone can give me a break-down for a new system(no upgrade) what needs to be done to have IP sets working. We do not have any trunks since we only use the IP sets in an internal, no external access PBX, that would be greatly appreciated.

Again, I can get the sets to register, but they are not assigned any DN and the layout on the phone does not allow me to make any sort of call to other phones.
