Hello,

I am working on a new install. I have 2 IPE shelves. One IPE shelve is split between two different superloops.(8-1 and 28-0..2 segments each). The other IPE shelve is 28-1 with 4 segments. I am unable to enable superloop 28 with the enll command or enls, I receive NPR327. I've swapped the superloop card with another and get the same message. I've checked the cabling as well. The 8-1 part of the shelf works fine and the lights went off but superloop 28 will not come up. Any ideas? Thanks. See below for the configuration.

have you done a ENXP 3 or ENXP 4 in LD 32 to enalbe the controller?

Yes, I've done that and the controller does not come up because the loop is disabled.

what slot do you have the nt8d04 plugged in? the right or left slot of loop 28, should be left side according to how you programmed it. you are aware that the bottom connector on the faceplate is xpec 3 and the top connector is xpec 4. on the ipe shelf that is xpec 3 the cable should be plugged into connector s2. on the ipe shelf that is xpec 4 the cable should be plugged into s0.

if the cables are not plugged in securely on the faceplate connectors of the nt8d04 you will have problems. you didn't say that you had frogged the controller cards as well. You should do that. Before unpluging the controller cards you should remove power from shelf.

Thanks wane. That's definitely worth a try. I'll frog the controller cards.

why do you have 28 0 and 28 1 built on your xpe side and only ? 28 0 is plug j1, 28 1 is plug j0 on the network card..

i would remove the extra xpe, enls the shelf..

Should be able to enable the loop even if controller is not connected.
