I just upgraded to a larger capacity HD. The machine previously had XP Pro installed to the old HD. I had one user with Admin rights. I would like to copy all my old data in the Document and Settings folder (not settings or system files, just .docs, music, pictures) to the new drive. However, I'm denied access when I try to view the folders that were owned by the old user. I don't know much about the way permissions work in windows, but shouldn't I be able to log in as the Admin on the new XP install and access everything? Anyone explanations or suggestions on how to get my old data off the hard drive? Thanks,

dylan
