Hi Guys

Recently i create a new extension.
on Mitel 3300 ICP
the extension was created, the problem is no one phone on the office can reach it but that extension is available to make calls.when i try to dial on my display appear invalid.

I miss some step?

Odds are real good that it's not the number you think it is. Call any dispaly phone from that extension and check the number. Be sure it doesn't have any "*" or "#" in it.

This all assumes the phone is registered on the same controller as the phones trying to call it.

Ralph

I think uncle ralph has it right.....Yesterday I had a customer call me and tell me ...we moved extension 3777 from this office to this office but now it wont recieve calls in the new office.

I did everything under the sun except try to verify the mac with the DN.

I deleted the ext and a bunch of other stuff.

Well i went out there this morning made a couple tests and sure enough the customer moved the wrong extension.

sometimes you gotta learn the hard way to figure out the easy way

Might be a dialing conflict...
If there was already an extension 1234, and you just added extension 123?
Dialing 123 will result in the conflict dialing timer starting...seemmingly not working...

Dave

You can't believe anything you read... unless of course it's this.

I don`t think it is a conflict number as that would not respond with an invalid on the display.

You haven`t told us the set type - Might be useful info.

Best bet is it is not the extension you think it is. If IP it was probably previously registered as a different extension. If DNIC then maybe you`ve connected to the wrong port.

As UncleRalph suggested, call from the problem set to a working display set and observe the extension that is calling.

Tell us the results when you have some.

Wrong COS or/and COR perhaps ?

I put the number 2 on the COS and the COR and appear INVALID.

I put the same COR and COS than the others IPPHONES..

COS and COR problems will not have the symptoms you describe.

Please verify the extension as mentioned at least twice above.

invalid means the number you've entered does not match ANY dialable number on the system. I'm thinking what the other guys are thinking - confirm the number.

or the phone maybe forwarded to some doggy number perhaps? check features on the phone - better yet disable all of them

Could that phone possibly be re-routed to a dead end?

Guys:

The original poster on this has not responded to any suggestions.

Lets let this one die until he sees fit to follow thru.

When the extension calling me appear the correct number.

2852 IP_Newtork

And its very weird because i have the extension

2850 on this one i can call with no problems

but in this two 2851 and 2852 i cant reach it?

Exist a option when i look for the parameters because maybe the last parameter was 2850 from there look for the 7000, Because from the 2852 i jump to the 7000..
2850 works
2851 i can reach it
2852 ""
7001 Voicemail
7002 Voicemail

i upload a image
Thanks everyone for your answers :)

why is the name IP network. is this phone actually on the same controller as all the other phones?

if not check your RDN and cluster setup.

Let me assume....
If the new phone is on another controller, and you use Enterprise Manager/OPS:

Go into the controller the phone is registered on, edit the Telephone direcrory, assign a name to the phone, wait an hour and things may just magically start working.
Been there, done that.

Ralph

No this phone is located on Chicago, and im in another city.

BINGO!

Did you configure the cluster and/or IP networking?
what you have is ext 2852 is not in your Remote directory number form that's why you can't dial it.

Are you running Ent/OPS manager?
if you are make sure you try UncleRalph's suggestion - give the phone a name in the city it's at and sync to the network elements from OPS manager

Please can you tell me the option on the ICP-web where i have to check this....

2 questions:
1) Do you have Enterprise Manager or OPS Manager?
2) Did you program a name on the extension number. (in the Telephone directory form under All Forms)

If you don't know if you have EM/OPs then go to "Remote Directory Number Assignment" to see if any thing is programmed there. If yes, match the pattern for a known working phone. If no, then go to ARS digits dialed and match the pattern there.

Ralph

i look on the Remote Directory Number Assignment but not appear this extension...

1)How can i know if i have a Enterprise Manager or OPS Manager
2)Yes i program a Name, Last Name, Extension and department on Telephone Directory Management-User cOnfiguration.
