New Combo Card installed giving error 2

We're running an IP office 500 v2 Firmware version 7(12) I installed a new combo card 700504556 IPO IP500 V2 COMB CARD ATM/V2 PCS02 and I'm getting the error "Internal card fitted with invalid daughter card. Combo Phones/VCM Slot3." The system has an working existing combo card in slot 1 had the part number 700476013 IPO 500 ATM4 combo PCS03. In Slot 2 it has a DS 8 phones module. What could my problem be? Thanks ahead. Les.

Partner Mode/Basic Mode?

The new version combo card is not supported on the earlier releases - you need to get an older version combo card or upgrade the control to 8.1.

Well, either mode has a problem.

My guess is that you need to upgrade or send the card back and look for a used V1.

This card will only work on 8.1.63 and up.

The card that is 700504556 works on 8.0.53.(Essential Edition) I have it working at my desk as I type. There are 2 docs I looked at and of course one say it will work on 8.0 release and one say it is only supported on 8.1.63. I wish they could make up their minds

The 1st doc is Tech bulletin 150

The new ATM4U V2 and the Combination Card ATM V2 are only supported in the IP
Office 500 V2 with IP Office R8.1 FP1.

6.2 ATM4U V2 Line Card and Combination Card ATM V2 Enhancements
The new material codes for the ATM4 v2 and the Combo Card ATM v2 are added to the inventory file, used as part of the Automated On-Boarding registration process for the IP Office Support Services (IPOSS) maintenance offer.
The new ATM4 V2 card is centered on enhancements to the function and operation of the analog trunk card. This same ATM card is used with the Combination card ATM V2 as the analog trunk interface. Enhancements include impedance matching to trunk characteristics, improved echo reduction and reduction of occasional noise. Line connectivity status: line connected to the cards will be shown on port LED and also on SSA.

Pricing will be the same as the version 1 cards. Version 1 cards will continue to be available and sold in all countries approved for sale.
