Dear Sir,

I want to deploy my invoice entry software and entries will be done on it from my 50 remote offices ..

So can u plz suggest me how much bandwidth connection of Adsl will be sufficient to maintain optimum speed on my Head Office where the citrix server is placed and also on the remote offices from where the entry has to be done via the citrix client software.

Plz Guide Soon with ur reply..
Rgds.

Rule of thumb is 20kb down and up minimum, and 30kb prefered.
Based on all client offices running 1 concurrent session, you would need:

30kb up and down on every client office
50 x 30kb =1500kb up and down at the main office

Asuming all 50 offices, to be concurrent. If only 50% is concurrent, you can do with 750 up and down.

Free citrixprinting support

Also beware that it will be fighting with all other traffic like http & smtp et al

Cheers
Scott

Dear Sir,

thnx to get a reply from you...

I had one more query for you..

If all 50 clients are connected from the remote offices to the citrix server but only 20 of them are making invoice in to the citrix server and rest 30 of them are idle but they are connected with the citrix server,so in that case whether all are occupying the bandwidth or only the working 20 users are occupying it.???

I'll be greatful if u clarify the matter at your earliest possible..

rgds..
Arshad

The working 20 would occupy the bandwidth since the other 30 do not require screen refreshes, keyboard/mouse updates, or print spooling. There may be an occasional ICA ping, but that's it.
