New Backup Strategy

I am in a new situation where backup tapes were not archived, so once sequence of tapes cycles,files are overwritten.And index is also gone along with it.I need a new strategy whereby if anything happens I can pull up tape from a certain date and restore.Any suggestion is appreciated..

Step 1: Buy more tapes.

You will need to calculate how much data gets put on the backup, and how long you want to keep them around.

Hi,

One easy way is to use the built in feature CLONE Tape, but then you need at least two tape drives, or a disk area to stage from.
