New 2003 server into existing Active directory 1

Hi,

I have done this before - put a new non domain controller 2003 server into an existing domain - and joined it to domain. I remember the first step was to

http://existing_server/something

For the life of me I can't remember, nor google, what this bit was. Anyone know?

You shouldn't have to browse to the existing server to do anything.

Either I am going mad then, or things have changed. It could have been an SBS hosting the AD before, but there was defnitely something that had to be done...

SBS has the \\servername\connectcomputer to add WORKSTATIONS to the domain. But that wasn't an absolute requirement. Just a nice little wizard.

It's not a requirement, but it is recommended. Using connectcomputer on the clients helps ensure your software and system settings are properly done for SBS.
