Has anyone ever used this emulator? I downloaded the demo and it is amazing! Very cheap which seems to good to be true.

just looking over it, and wow... ya it does seem a lil bit to good to be true... the only thing I see that it does NOT include would be the SDM, which seems to be a big thing with Cisco now on their newer test. I just finished taking my ONT this past weekend and I had a few questions over the SDM. But for the router/switching test of the CCNP, it does look like it would be an awesome tool. Might look into getting it, since it is only 60$ and trying it out, worst case scenario is that it doesnt do what it should and I am out 60$.

congrats. i am looking for some simulators for ISCW and ONT. I just passed my BSCI. i have plenty of routers and l3 switches laying around but none have any IOS Firewall or VPN functionality except for my dual ASA's but they are a bit different than the IOS. I can't believe i've never heard of this netsim before. I am going to get with the boss and get them to buy it for me. there is CCVP, CCSP and even MPLS sims!

It was for the QoS on the SDM...
As for the CCVP side of it, I was lucky enough to have worked on the 4.1CCM for about 2 years prior to beginning the CCVP track, which is also why I did the ONT first. It was wierd, the whole QoS track for the CCVP never hit on the enterprise until I started studying for the ONT. Seems like a really awesome tool to have.

So I am playing around with it a lil bit, its ok... It works more like the simulators you would work with on TestOut. It does NOT like it when you make a mistake and try to use the no command... I guess one way to look at that is it attempts to teach you perfection or patience... haha
But for the cost of it, it does seem like a really cool learning tool to have in preperation for several different Cisco exams..

BTW, Sorry I haven't been around guys! Between the wifey, work, Cisco and school my time has been limited! LoL Also have been playing with TrueCrypt and TOR/PROXY's! Really like FoxyProxy for FireFox 3 but don't like the way they combine SOCKS 4 and 4A! I want to be able to choose 4A.. I would prefer to see them combine 4 and 5 and put 4A by it's self or separate them all! Seems like people would gain a false sense of privacy this way since 4A is the only one to use host names in stead of IP addresses! Anyway, looking for another app/add-on! Not very big into TOR either at this point! Doesn't really look all that private either since someone can just monitor the exit points! Not to mention if someone IS an exit point! Wanted to play with TOR but it's just too slow for me at times!
