I have been running Win 98 and Win ME for some time and can setup networking fine on both. However I recently added a Win2k pro machine. I can not figure out how to get the networking setup to recognize a Win 98 or Win ME machine. All of the machines (3, one of each)are connected by a 10/100 NIC with a hub. I realize the answer may be complicated, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I am very flexible in how my network gets setup, so whatever it takes, short of buying new software, is fine.

Thanks in advance,
Robert

Well, I was having the same type of problem. I found two sites that will help out.....but it may require you to buy new software (they both do come with a 30 day trial period...which i found to be helpful).

1.
This one has a 30 day trial with their networking software....very easy to use and works amazing well. The only problem is that you will need to purchase after the 30 day trial....i didnt really try to download another trial.

2.
This one was a little more confusing....you have to do a little bit of tinkering with your system (whereas the above one you just had to install). One bonus with this one is that you could keep downloading another trial software....is tedious...but cheap?

I use the wingate software...i did pay...but found it completely worth it...it allows my home networking to share internet connections without any problems (as yet....knock on wood).....GOOD LUCK
