Is Microsoft Office networkable/multi-user capable? By that I mean can various users at the same time access a common database and view and update it? What I am looking for is some type of contact database that will allow me to link all the various things that relate to the customer together. Notes, job status, emails, photos, job costing and accounting, etc. It must be multi-user capable.

You probably need to get something like ACT or Goldmine.

Access is mutli user capable. And, with the additions of Active Server Pages, you can have a browser interface and have your users get to your DB without a licensed copy of Access.

That said, for contact management, buy something of the shelf. ACT, Goldmine, Maximizer, Etc. Interesting note, a lot of the "off the shelf" items are written in Access. Hmmmm... Tyrone Lumley

I do have Goldmine. It is ok for a contact manager but doesn't seem to work very will for the other things. I would like something that will "talk" with the bookeeping etc programs.
