Hi There.

If I had two IP Offices physically sitting next to each other. Each IPO had 300 IP extensions on it.

If I wanted to link the two IPO's together so that I effectivley had one system with 600 extensions- would I need the voice networking licences and create a SCN? Or is there another way?

that is the best way. You could do PRI with QSIG but if you want 1 VM you need voice networking and SCN. you only use Voice networking licenses for outgoing calls not incoming.

OK thanks. So if SCN is the best way, then I need the voice networking licence which comes with 4 channels- so that supports 4 calls between the two, and I need a licence on each ipo.

Does the voicenetworking licence get used for the duration of the call?

And is there a linit to the number of networking licences?

Correct it gets used for the duration of the call. I am not sure on the limit.

The limit will be how many VCM channels you have available.

I would personally think you are better getting a system that will support this many extns properly, rather than making an IP Office fit. Maybe look at Aura???

Just my opinion.

Football is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

Jamie77 - I could not agree more with you. The reasons why I need to put this forward just dont even need to be discussed- unbelievable! It would be a shoretel rather than Aura, but thats another story.

Agree it should be on Aura but it does work on IP Office. We Installed and maintain for a reseller two IP500's (single site) with approx 500 users on it and it does work. Just to complicate matters no IP extensions...... If do it make sure it is on R6 as this is when the SCN limit went up from 500 to 1000 users!!!

Believe me, A Aura is way better then a shoretell with it's boxes for everything.
I know it is a great and easy product but it still cannot compete with Avaya!
