It's been a while since I've done this.

I can't find a way to add the SX200 to the ICP/PBX form on a 3300 running Rel 5.0

It would seem that only 3300's can appear there when they are created in the Network Elements form.

What am I missing???

when you created the element in the network element form you gave it a name then whe you go to ICP/PBX Networking form does the pbx number not auto populate?

The choices I have when creating the Network Element Are:
3300ICP
SX-2000 MicroLight
SX-2000 Redundant
Outbound Proxy
Other
MSL Server
Directory Server
Application Server
Enterprise Manager

Only the first 3 will create a PBX number that appears in the ICP/PBX form.

would it matter if you said 3300ICP since it is only IP? Just asking don't know for sure.

Im not sure, but I'm considering it.

I decided to call Mitel and get the skinny.

I don't like to assume but I would think it doesn't matter but having said that it probably does, be interesting to get the word from Mitel.

A change has been made at release 5 that removed the ability to ADD a PBX in the ICP/PBX form.

The tech I tallked to seemed to think this is an oversight/bug

He has no issues adding in that form on Release 4

I've been instructed to try the 2000 microlight option "and see how it goes"

not my usual Mitel experience to say the least.

Were IP trunks from a 3300 to an SX200 ICP ever supported? The SX200 doesn't support MSDN over T1 which is why the SX2000 is listed. Not sure what options you have.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Yes, I even have a Mitel doc how to (and I've done it many times)

The issue here is not being able to add the pbx in the ip trunking form

Mitel has raised a DPAR against this issue:

My Comment
Will there eventually be a SX200 option in the Network Elements form.

Although this appears to work, it does not strike me as the correct way (Nor does it match any existing documentation on the subject)

Their Response
You are right. We have a dpar opened for this. We will following up this case with dpar

Then again, here is their response today

the Network Element needs to be created as SX2000. There are no DPAR on this issue
