Have 2 MICS in same location. Both have PRI's. Have been using routes to link two systems through PSTN. Now they're looking to connect both through direct connection. So not at whim of PSTN. Here is setup of systems.
System 1-
MICS 6.1 XC-Digital and Analog Extensions
DNs 601-699- DID's Match last 3 digits with extensions.
Received Digits 7

System 2-Strictly Analog Extensions
MICS 7.0 XC
DNs 5229000 through 5229149.
Received Digits 7.

Tried putting in T1's set up as E&M, then tried setting up Routes to match received Digits. However, just defaults to reception. Am I chasing my tail since DN lengths don't match. Seems like that shouldn't matter as Received digits for target lines are how lines are matched up. Assume can't use PRI between two with getting PRI-SL1 code. It's late, so not sure this post will make sense. Will review it again tomorrow. But any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

On system 1...what is the digit on the receive string before the 6 (receive 7 digits)?

Looking at you setup again...If you used CDP, your DN length for the Private received numbers (using MCDN) would need to match on both systems and you will want to use IP trunking with Norstar Gateways. You might be able to do your numbering plan match in the digit manipulation field in the Norstar gateway (send 700 from the 1st system and manipulate it in the Gateway, where 700 received number matches 5229000 on the second system).

MCDN allows you to use the private received digit field of the system target lines, though if you manipulate it through the Gateway, you may not need the separate field in the target line.

Digits on first is 8524600. Would like to avoid MCDN if possible. They're not looking to have caller ID, just have two systems be able to connect between each other.

If you didn't want to do digit manipulation in the gateways, seven digit numbering plan on both systems will solve your issue using CDP...5 as the leading digit for 1 network, 8 as the leading digit on the 2nd network

I was actually looking to move both systems to 4 digit DN length. Both locations presently already use 7 for outside line.

Using test systems. Have 3 digit DN 7 Digit Received. HOWEVER. Put appearance of Line 1/Channel 1 on both systems. As soon as press button. Immediately rings corresponding line of other system. Does not allow me to input any digits. Have Lines set up as E&M with Wink Start. Shouldn't it allow me to imput digits for either Target line or was hoping would give me back dial tone and I could dial extension on other KSU.

Sorry, I've not networked using E&M...I've only networked using VoIP Trunking.

Did not have answer with DISA turned on for Trunks. So am now getting dial tone from other system. For just getting it to work. Set DN length and received length both to 4 for both systems. So now
System 1
Ext 4600 has line 200 which is set to receive 4600.
System 2
Ext 9000 has line 200 which is set to receive 9000.
However. After get dial tone from far system and dial 4 digits. Nothing happens until dial 7 digits. Is there a setting I'm missing?
FYI. Had received digits set for 7 before and didn't work even after dialing 7 digits programmed for line 200

OK.
So got it to work. Needed to set lines to answer automatically. BUT TO NOT ANSWER WITH DISA!! Gave me dial tone and was able to input received digits to ring line wherever on system.
Good Work Chiden.

You get a Star!!!
