Networking 2 Magix 1

I have customer with a Magix system currently. They have another location they are looking at buying a Magix for and would like to network them and use centralized VM using Merlin Messaging. I know that I need a point to point T1, any other things I should be aware of? Any help on this would be great, I have never programmed this setup before.
