A few weeks ago, I upgraded from Networker(HP-UX) Version 5.5.3 to 6.0.1. Since this time I get error messages from almost all of my clients. (most of them NW 5.5.2
In the savegroup completion I get following messages:
client:index save: Unable to read ACLV information for `/u10/networker_index/index/client/db6/3b525fc6.rec': Invalid argument
* client:index save: Unable to read ACLV information for `/u10/networker_index/index/client/db6/3b5502cd.rec': Invalid argument

or it looks like this:
* client :/u01/oradata/DBNAME savepnpc: Unable to read ACLV information for `/u01/oradata/DBNAME/': Invalid argument

I didn't find any documentation about this problem. So in fact we doesn't use Access Control List. But why does this errors occures.
Does anyone has the same or a similar problem ???
I would be very happy if there would be someone who can help me ?!

Hi,

I noticed you're using savepnpc.. Do you still get this error when you run the backup without any pre or post processing? (savepnpc).. Let me know, and I'll see if I can help. I've seen weird things happen if there's anything different in the res file. I had an issue when I was receiving errors unrelated to the backup, only when savepnpc was turned on.. I created a new res file from scratch, and the problem stopped occuring.

Let me know.

ACLV is not the NetWorker error, you have to patch the HP-UX box upto current level.
