Hi everybody,

Just to say that the client NetWorker 7.2 is available for NetWare version. It appeared yesterday.

Thanks,
Best regards,

Marc

Hi Andreas

Very interesting. At this time I am testing the "cluster awareness" of the 7.2 client. The setup is similar to the one of a Win2K cluster but there are no cluster licenses. Software recognizes the virtual node I have configured as a cflient resourcffe but no backup happens. At fthis time it looks
like a huge bugfix [banghead]

Hi All

Our situation is as follows :

- Backup works fair, on just one client the backups fail stating that one of the virtual nodes attached to it is not properly configured on the server. Configuring the virtual
node as a client has produced no result, error message still occurs and backups fail.
Starting tsafs.nlm with whatever parameter has no effect on the result.

- Restore works also fine, just files backed up with the 4.xx software produces a load of error messages and fails sometimes.

- Restore is still slow but we know that we have to wait until Legato brings out a bugfix.
This issue has been escalated in engineering and now has number LGTpa80883.

- Setting up a cluster backup as mentioned in chapter 5 of the manual fails. Whatever
I do I get the erroro message : invalid saveset or saveset not available <volume:>

- Details in the "GUI" are empty, cannot see devices, sessions and messages

Cheers

Hi All

Cluster backup as described in chapter 5 of the manual
for the Networker client for Netware 7.2 works now.
We are able to backup the cluster resources independently
and it runs really fast (up to ~ 30 Mbyte/s) !!!!
Restore works also but you have to use the directed recover
method.
The trick was to load tsafs.nlm with the /cluster option and
to define the cluster resource correctly in the client
resource on the backup server
