Hi,

We have a NetWorker server 7.2 under Windows 2000 SP4 and a lotus machine under Linux Red Hat (client NetWorker with NetWorker module for Lotus Notes).
We have configured the nsrnote script for the backup command and we can backup all the databases at the same time.
The question is, how can we do in order to backup only one database at a time such as database1.nsf and not the all ones (database1.nsf to database250.nsf) ?
What we must change in the nsrnote file ? Is there other thing ?

Thanks,
Best regards,

Marc

Hi Marc,

are you using Legato NLM for NOTES? Which revision?

Hear you

Sandro

Hi Sandro,

We used of course NML 2.2.1 for Notes with NetWorker client (the Notes one) version 7.2 (rpm for x86 version)
I know that the NML 3.0 exists.

We don't know what we must parameters exactly on the nsrnote file (backup command of NetWorker client Notes) in order to backup ONLY one database and not the whole (such as -R parameter in myArgs="-R" for the whole(all databases)).

Thanks,
Best regards,

Marc

Hi Marc,

edit the Client Save Set field in the Admin interface and add:
NOTES: for all the database
or
NOTES:D\Lotus\Domino\Data\database1.nsf for a unique database

replace D\Lotus\Domino\Data\database1.nsf with the correct PATH

Note: this supposes NOTES backup is working errors free.

Hi Sandro,

Well, we have on the nsrnote file:

# Here are my backup options:
myArgs="-R"

# Set the following to your Lotus user if not already correct:
LOTUSUSER=notes

#get the OS type
os=`/bin/uname`

PATH=/usr/sbin:/opt/lotus:/opt/lotus/bin:/opt/lotus/notes/latest/$LOTUSARCH:/opt/lotus/notes/latest/$LOTUSARCH/res/C:/bin:/usr/bin:/opt/networker/bin:/usr/bin/nsr
export PATH

PATH=$PATH:/notes:/notes/datas:/notes/datas/mail:/usr/lib
export PATH

The database called
NOTES:/notes/datas/mail/bahman.nsf

If we type on the save set attribute
NOTES:/notes/datas/mail/bahman.nsf

The backup starts for all the databases

What is wrong ??
If we need to backup ONLY one database and not the ALL ones, what do you suggest ?
What is the good value for myArgs ?

Thanks,
Best regards,

Marc

Hi Marc,

myArgs="-R"
Backs up Lotus database files that reside in the default Lotus directory.
To backup specific directories or files, use path and filename instead of the -R option.

Sandro

Hi Sandro,

Thanks for your help.
We found that yet.

Thanks,
