after the Update to version 7.12 i get following errors on some Folders - i don't know why?

It seems that you don't have the proper rights to backup these files.

- Are you sure that you used the local administrator account for the installation?
- Have you entered anything in the "Remote user/Password" attributes for the client resource? - If so, delete it.

Strange - have you disable the Removable Storage Manager service (RSM) - i have heard that it will also re-enable under some conditions.

Can you try to perform a resverse save directly to the server? (from the client) type: save -vvv -s nwserver "SYSTEM DB:\\"

Does it work? What errors for you receive (exactly)?

The system state errors do look like the RSM error, but not the rest.
What are th permissions on: D:\SFirm32\sfirm32\WOPas opposed to D:\SFirm32\sfirm32\?
Is there anything missing that might explain the difference? If you specifically add local administrator(s) to the WOP level, does this then work?

OK I found out, that it works if i add the System user to the folders that are not saved. Before the update to 7.12 it worked without the system user - why that?

Hello all,
I also have this same issue on a few of my clients after updating to 7.1.2 release. I was able to back them up just fine on 7.1.1, and when I uninstalled 7.1.2 and reinstalled 7.1.1, again worked fine. I only have the issue on a few clients, and not on all of the directories. I have an open ticket with Legato, will post if they come up with anything, but there is definitly a difference between 7.1.1 and 7.1.2

Hi all,
well, Legato never told me what exactly they changed between the versions, but provided me with a new liblocal.dll that seems to work for me. If you want to try it-here are the instructions I got. I loaded the new dll on the clients that were having the problem.

Please visit the following legato ftp site and download the following Binary.

liblocal.dll

ftp://ftp.legato.com/outgoing/3105246/

Before making any changes make sure that Networker Client service is down.
1- Rename the orignal Binary (i.e liblocal.dll.old.org)
2- Place the new Binary in orignal Location
3- Start the Storage NetWorker client service.
