Has anyone tried this release yet in their environment(s)? I have this installed in a test environment of our, solaris server, tru64 storage nodes, and multi-platform clients. So far this version has been running quite well, better than 6.1.2. I only have the server, storage nodes, a few clients upgraded.

Anyone experiences issues with 6.1.3 yet?

Yes, we have implemented 6.1.3 in our networker/aix environment. We were running 6.1.2, but our operations center on the west coast ran into a problem where the nscheck command was crashing the backup server when it was running. Support had them upgrade to 6.1.3, we did the same here. Software response seems to have increased, and minor additions to the software (like option to place a tape drive into service mode, not sure what that actually does for you). Have only been running the new version for a week, though.

There were a few new features. The one that I like deals with NDMP backups. In the past, you would have to restore the entire saveset when using ndmp. With 6.1.3 you can select the directory and file you want to recover now.

If you look at the release notes, you will see that there are quite a lot of fixes that was put into 6.1.3. And Legato made a special effort to make sure that 6.1.3 was tested extensively before it was released.

Good to hear. We too experienced issues where the scheduled nsrck -L6 would hang our server regardless of when it would run "/nsr/mm/nsrim.priv".

I read the release notes and there are quite a few bug fixes that pertain to our environment, which seemed to have been fixed. I know from our TAM that 6.13 was thoroughly tested, but I wanted to hear from a customer's POV.

Thanks.

Before, I had problem on restoring a directory from 6.1.2 the problem is related to the decompression of the files, the restoration stopped in the middle couldn't continue. Legato support has suggest me to download this version and upgrade it. I am using NT box. Is anyone using 6.1.3 on NT?
thanks for the comment.
Tony

Yep this version is a lot more stable than the previous couple, we had numerous issues with v6.1.1 which put us in a predicament (as I didnt want to go near 6.1.2),we have ran some thorough tests on this version (on build 423) since october and am in the process of updating around 400+ unix systems to 6.1.3 latest build....

hi,

I installed it on our two Solaris servers, the one with 85 clients is working fine. The other server running Solaris 7
says I only have one client license not the 120 I really have. I have reported it to Legato and it is a Known issue
LGTpa49958. It justs means I can not add any new clients till they fix the problem.
