We have a NT domain, one of the windows 98 machines is having problems when logging onto the network a logon script will run and map all the necessary drives, after about 30 mins the connection to all the mapped drives will be lost, you can still ping the servers and browse the intranet, I have reinstalled the network adapter and the protocols.

Any suggestions welcome

Have you configured DHCP connection on your Windows 98 system?

If you are using Logon script, then try removing logon script and just logon with User name manually Map drives and then check if same issue happens....

I've seen flaky stuff like this before. You might try doing the drive mappings locally (autoexec) for this machine, and set the mappings with a "/persistent=yes" switch, if that works.
