I am having a RAS via modem connection to another w2k computer, running a call-accounting software but I have also a local network connection (ADSL, for Internet) and the trouble is that I have alway to unplug either the network cable of the local network in order to have the call accounting software working or if I want to use the ADSL (local network) I have to disconnect the dial-up connection. Is there a way to make both work i.e. the call-accounting program "looks" only over the dial-up connection and the Internet connection uses only the local network card?

The modem I use for the dial-up connection (RAS) is a LASAT 56k external modem.(Connected to COM2)
The local network is a 3COM etherlink 10/100 internal PCI network board that connects via a switch to an ADSL router.

do you think it has something to do with automatic lookups in the dhcp server in the router? i have the same problem with a usb ras and am trying to work around it now. if i cannot get the incoming connnection to not look up the dhcp server (box in wizard) then the next thing I will try is to assign a second ip address to my host machine's mac address. if that fails then vpn may assist. i am glad it is not just me but i have not found anything on the web that seems like a solution yet.
