Bit of an open question so I do apologise.
Basically from one site, a computer going through an Intel Switch to a Cisco 2621 which is connected to a Cisco 3620 via a 100Mbps LES connection which in turn is connected to another Intel Switch which connects to the server ...
is much much slower than
a computer going through an Intel Switch to a different Cisco 2621 which is connected to a Cisco 3640 va a 100 Mbps direct fibre connection which in turn is connected to the Intel switch which connects to the server as mentioned before.
Is there something there that might explain why or does anyone have any ideas. I'm a bit stumped. I'm a bit of a junior in the network world and my troubleshooting is a bit weak. I keep looking forthings like huge amounts of broadcasts and too many runts/giants/babbles and other bad packets.
Can anyone help me?
Cheers
Justin
