Recently our network admins changed our users over to a new network segment. Now the printers are on a separate subnet than the users are. Ever since the switch some users have been printing slower then normal. I find that deleting a user's network printer and adding it back works. Is there another way to resolve this issue for all users?

Domain Server = Windows 2000 Server w/ SP4
Print Server = Windows 2000 Server w/ SP4
User Workstations = Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 (and firewall is set to off)

You could try to create a logon script that maps to the printers.

Put all of the users on the new subnet into a seperate OU and apply the logon script policy to the new OU.

Sounds more like a problem between the print server and the clients to me since the users won't be talking directly to the printers.

The print server and the users were on the same subnet before the switch. Now the users are on a different subnet.
