I have a Lexmark C510 Printer on a Network with an External Print Server Lexmark N4000e. The IP address does not change on the print server. I have ONE Windows XP Home Machine wired to the switch and sometimes it will print fine and shoot it right out and other times it will wait 5-10 Minutes which is not good since this is a Law office that this is installed in. All the other computers that are used alot are wireless and can print fine all day long.

Thanx

Does Printer has a warmup period? Some machines take a few minutes to warm up.

Does the network have IP Conflicts? Conflicts with the same IP address will kill connectivity to the Print Server

Are multiple people printing to the Lexmark? Someone might have a print job that is holding up the printer que.

Any power issues? loss of power can cause the printer to be not online.

is the printer server set to Static IP and not DHCP, I had a client set his computer to a specific IP Address, the next night power went out and the switch reassigned the IP address.
