Network mappings

My network guy wants to know if any Cognos components have trouble with network path mappings (\\servername\foldername...) and need drive letter mappings (G:\foldername...).

Impromptu seems ok but he would like to know if he might encounter problems when installing and configuring other components, and would rather avoid having to change peoples login scripts.

Actually Cognos Recommends using UNC paths instead of map drives.

I have not encountered any issues using UNC so far with Cognos Series7
