Greetings. I am a small consultant who uses a cable modem at office to access the internet. I normally use dial-up for connection at client's sites. One client has been gracious enough to allow me to connect to the internet through his network. I have a Dell laptop running XP Pro.

My question is, "How do I setup my laptop to access the internet through his network?" I apologize for my lack of knowledge, however, networks aren't my thing.

I appreciate any and all help, advice, prayers, etc.

Id advise checking the Network settings of a pc on his network. Id also check the Connections tab of Internet options, there may be a proxy set-up in Lan connectiosn that needs to be added.

Let me know how you get on

Rathcoffey,

Thank you for the reply and suggestion. I did as you suggested and immediately accessed the internet. I guess I was looking the the complicated "technical" solution instead of using commom sense.

Once again, THANK YOU!
