Network interference with cable TV

Not if the cabling is done correctly. The shielding is such that thier shouldn't be any kind of interference.<br>
If you have to run these close together try using standoffs or wire ties to keep them an even spacing away from each other.<br>
The data coming accross is in bursts and very low voltage, also the PVC coating around the RG cable for the TV will keep out most all types of interferance.<br>

There should be absolutely no way to have either of these two connections interfere with the other. The shielding in COAX and in twisted pair should prevent anything like that from happening. The only way I can think of is if you don't punch down the cat-5 correctly and have exposed wires that are grounding commonly with the coax.

to be safe you should run plennum graded cable not pvc cable for the network.
