Network Element IP Address on NuPoint

We have MiVoice Business Express and are using the NuPoint Voicemail, this was working as expected until i was requested by the clients IT company to change the IP address on the Mitel MiVoice Express.

I have changed the Network Element address in the Users and Services window and it reports the new address, and have activated the change through the Nupoint Update Active configuration option, but the IP address is not changing from the old one. I've tried editing the Network Element using the Edit Offline Configuration options and the Element I need to change has a padlock on it and I can't change it there and as far as I know this is not where you change the IP address anyway.

I logged a ticket with Mitel (via our distributor) at the beginning of the week and they are yet to respond...… after 5 days!! the service from Mitel Technical support is shocking now - as it used to be fantastic.

I have also tried deleting the Network Element and reassigning but this doesn't help.

At present I'm unable to access the voicemail.

Any idea's??


 
Changing the IP address requires a reboot in order to take effect.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

Finally managed to fix this problem, had to change the IP address back to the old address - then followed a procedure Mitel provided me this afternoon.
 
more helpful to others if you post the procedure

was it

change the ip address from the console first ( login as admin)
add in new local networks to allow you to talk to it ( if required)
then login to web interface and adjust all locations as required

mitel just released a KMS article for this HO1990

basically need to release the nupoint activate and then reintegrate it afterwards

MiVoice Business Express is an integrated platform where most of the configuration is done via the MiCollab administration portal.
Suggestion one for Express: access server-manager and anything you can program here, program it here.
