Network Discovery and Client installation problem

WE've recently installed SMS 2 on our site containing around 600 PC's all with the same image/build on them. There are around 100 pc's which are discovered, but will not report back with a valid 'Operating System name and version, it just reports as NULL, but they are definate Windows NT Workstation systems - I've removed them from the database to be rediscovered, but with no joy. Does anybody have any ideas why ?

I've seen that before when a specific security registry key had been set incorrectly. There's more info in the presenation I gave at the MMS 2002. Here's the download:
