My server abended and after rebooting I cannot get any clients to log on. I did a dumb thing being a Novell newbie and uninstalled the NIC driver and bindings and all and I think I have them reinstalled incorrectly.

What type nic do you have and what protocol are you binding to?

What do you see in Monitor (or Servman?) - is the LAN driver loaded? sending Packets, receiving packets? When you type CONFIG at the console, does it show NICs bound, and your NDS Context? Are your volumes mounted? Have you run DSREPAIR? Look around, let us know some symptoms!
Fred Wagner
frwagne@ci.long-beach.ca.us

Most probably you have installed a wrong NIC driver/or incorrect installation.Start the server without autoexec.ncf[server -na] load the lan driver properly and bind with the protocol.Take care of giving the correct frame type.

Your nic is loaded in autoexec.ncf file. Do you have a print out of this file before you wipe out the nic. If so just edit the ncf file and add the lines that are missing. Your driver file should still be in the c:\nwserver anyway.
