Ok so I just installed Windows 7 on my Dell 540 Studio desktop. Ever since then every time I boot my computer I loss network connectivity although the actual NIC card is working properly and the only can get it to work is to reinstall the NIC drivers. I already updated the BIOS and downloaded the NIC drivers for Windows 7 but neither did anything. Has anyone else had this problem?

I would like to report that jjdad's fix for his networking issue just now worked for me. If this isn't the place to report this, let me know.
Problem: newly upgraded Vista->Win7 Home Edition (on a 3 month old desktop) had sporadic write problems (mostly with InDesign CS3) to a Max OSX graphic file server on our network. This was odd since I could sign in to our company's WinServer2003 drives and use our other company software fine. And before the upgrade, Vista did not have this write problem. So... I turned off TCP/IPv6 (& QoS) and now it's writing without a problem... night and day. Before this fix, I was relying on InDesign's excellent crash recovery. Now I don't have to deal with this problem.
