Recently both Network Connection status icons and my Network Connections and Dial-up Windows have disapeared on my Windows 2000 Advanced Server (SP3).

When I try to view my LAN properties from Settings --> Network and Dial-up Connections, nothing happens. I have tried logging on under multiple accounts, and the same problem occurs.

I also have also noticed that my Routing and Remote Access Internet Connection Sharing is no longer working.

Please help.

I have also had an cronic spelling problem. Sorry. :)

I also tried starting the "Network Connections" Service again. It hung with both MMC and "net start".

This could be one more of the fine touches that service pack 3 add's to the fun microsoft created for all of us
For starters did you check your device manager to see if the Nic's are there ?
Do you get anything if you would lets say do an ipconfig in dos ?
Before you do anything with routing i would check to see if the cards are there in the device manager !
Hey i know this probably sounds like an obviuos solution but remeber check the physical connections to the server first the cards ( nics ) i would see if they are still installed on the machine ? Anthony Cabanas
