Network canot be reached error!!

My friend installed an accounting program to the win2k server and the whole active directory is having problem now. The other users can no longer access the file in the server. When I check the active directory, it give me this error message of Naming Information cannot be located because: network canot be reached. I canot access any of the server like DHCP, DNS etc. What can be the problem and how should I go about solving it?

Can you get physical access to the servers and check the event log? How about un-installing the program? Glen A. Johnson

Yes I can check the event log but I am not sure what is it saying. Everything is down and I can't even see the users in the domain.

Can you ping the server from a client?
Can you ping the loopback on the server itself?
